Okay, so many rumors about which parades the band will be doing. Heard they were invited to do Wheeling, but were told they had to do Steubenville instead. Obviously, they will do Wintersville, right? So, what is the truth? Anyone know?

This is all true we have to do the steubenville parade and wintersville but we can not go to wheeling... But i never see Steubenville at our parade!!!

How dumb!!!! Wheeling is such a big event! Our band is soooo good! They deserve to do something more than march down 4th Street!!!!

If I understand correctly, the band schedule went out before our invitation to the Wheeling parade. Participation in such things as parades must be aproved by the school board at the begining of the year. There are many people who want us to go, so I think it is definately a major consideration for next year. Just dreaming, but wouldn't it be nice if we COULDN'T go to Wheeling's next year because we'd be in NEW YORK for the MACY'S PARADE?! It would be a big trip early in the next school year, and it might be hard to fundraise by then to cut costs but..... like I said.... just dreaming! Go band! Go Mr Llew! You guys are GREAT!!

While the whole band has never been there, last year there was a Creek band member in the Macy's parade. Matt Argentine had the honor of being selected to some type of national honors band and he marched in the parade. He was shown on tv while the parade was aired. So maybe that's not as much of a dream as you think!

I would love it if we could go to the Maceys parade and we are fund rasing all the time for the kids tomake money in their accounts.We have the fruit sale,candy bars and t-shirt sales. We are going Monday to see the Ohio University Marching 110 concert in Columbus should be a good show and a good time for the kids to see a college band perform.

The OU show is always great! I went all 4 years that I was in band! In fact, my freshman year (2002) we actually went and played at an OU football game with them. Their band is phenomenal!!!! My only wish is that the show was at the beginning of the marching season because it really inspires the band to move and groove!

For anyone who has never seen OU's band's show, it would definitely be worth a trip to Athens! Even if you aren't exactly a "band fan" it is a great show!!!
